Hitachi Medical Receives FDA Clearance to Market New CT Models

The FDA has awarded clearance to Hitachi Medical Systems America to market two new CT models within its Scenaria Platform.

The new models, SE 64 and SE 128, are designed to facilitate higher daily scanning volumes of busy CT facilities.

According to the Twinsburg, Ohio-based unit of Tokyo’s Hitachi, the enhanced models feature 40 percent increases in both standard recon speed — with up to 50 images per second — and MPR recon speed, with added automation of frequent use operator functions.
