Innovacyn’s Puracyn Plus Professional Formula Wins Canadian Approval

Canada’s Medical Devices Bureau has granted approval to California-based Innovacyn for its Puracyn Plus Professional Formula as a Class II medical device.

A next-generation wound irrigation and management solution, the formula is designed to improve preparation of the wound bed, the company says.

It supports the removal of wound debris and contaminants from dermal lesions, including first- and second-degree burns, diabetic and stasis ulcers and post-surgical wounds.

The device also is indicated for moistening and lubricating absorbent wound dressings. —Michael Cipriano
