Fujifilm SonoSite Wins 510(k) Clearance for iViz Solution

The FDA has awarded ultrasound giant Fujifilm SonoSite 510(k) clearance for its iViz solution that can help clinicians treat patients in nontraditional settings.

Clinicians can use the light-weight device to access patient information, store exam findings, submit reports and consult with remote providers for near real-time assessment.

The solution — first commercialized in Europe — also accepts patient demographics from electronic medical records, eliminating manual entry and saving time.
