J&J Subsidiary Launches Depuy Synthes Advantage Outpatient Solutions Program

Johnson & Johnson subsidiary DePuy is launching the Depuy Synthes Advantage Outpatient Solutions Program to improve joint replacement at ambulatory surgical centers and outpatient hospitals in the U.S.

The program offers a portfolio of hip, knee and shoulder orthopedic surgical products, along with education, training and professional and patient support services for outpatient settings.

The Patient Athlete Program, part of the Depuy Synthes Advantage Outpatient Solutions Program, has been successfully piloted in four cities. A market survey of 33 patients who participated in this self-guided, video-based training program that focuses on wellness and the overall patient experience, found that more than half (55%) felt they recovered more quickly and were less fearful of surgery because of the program. —Michael Cipriano
