Philips, Sensory Partner to Develop Speech Recognition Suite

Philips has partnered with Silicon Valley-based Sensory to offer a combined technology speech recognition suite, using Sensory’s TrulyHandsfree and TrulyNatural technnologies with Philips BeClear Speech Enhancement algorithms.

The combination first aims to improve accuracy in noisy environments with Philips' echo cancellation, noise suppression and beam-forming processors.

The critical speech is then passed onto Sensory’s speech recognition engine, allowing patients to recognize speech accurately in the presence of high ambient noise, according to Sensory. — Michael Cipriano
