Svelte Gets CE Mark for SLENDER Integrated Delivery System

New Providence, N.J.-based Svelte Medical Systems has won CE Mark certification for its SLENDER sirolimus-eluting coronary stent-on-a-wire integrated delivery system for the treatment of coronary artery disease.

The system is designed to reduce the necessary catheter size to perform percutaneous coronary intervention and facilitate transradial intervention in patients.

The company aims to launch the system in select accounts in Europe and start an IDE study in support of PMA approval in 2016. — Michael Cipriano
