HiberGene Completes CE Marking for HG SWIFT Instrument

HiberGene Diagnostics has completed CE marking for its HG SWIFT instrument, designed for the fast, real-time isothermal amplification of DNA with fluorometric detection.

Designed for use with the company’s portfolio of molecular tests for infectious diseases, the instrument features simple software, a touchscreen and wireless communication capability, allowing for minimal training for operators.

It also is equipped with isothermal system called loop-mediated isothermal amplification, which ensures sensitive and specific results in under an hour, according to the Dublin, Ireland-based company. — Michael Cipriano
