iCAD Expands Use of Xoft Electronic Brachytherapy System
December 17, 2015
Nashua, N.H.-based iCAD has advanced the use of its Xoft electronic brachytherapy system throughout international markets.
The expansion for the device — for the early-stage breast cancer treatment with intraoperative radiation therapy — includes four systems in Bulgaria, two systems in Taiwan and the first systems sold in Turkey and Australia.
The FDA-cleared and CE-marked system is now being used in 23 centers outside the U.S. in seven different countries.
It also can be used to treat nonmelanoma skin cancer and gynecological cancers. — Michael Cipriano
