Alphaeon Wraps Up Lensar Buy

Irving, Calif.-based Alphaeon has completed its acquisition of Lensar — which manufactures femtosecond lasers systems — through a wholly owned subsidiary.

Alphaeon notes that the acquisition will bolster its global ophthalmology business and give it the opportunity to provide advanced technology to a global network of ophthalmologists.

The parties declined to disclose terms in a release announcing the deal. However, when the deal was unveiled last month, Alphaeon said the transaction was valued at up to $59 million in cash, stock and assumed debt. — Elizabeth Hollis
