Shkreli Out as KaloBios CEO

Embattled pharmaceutical executive Martin Shkreli is now out at two companies that he helmed, having been booted from KaloBios around the same time he resigned from his post at Turing Pharmaceuticals.

KaloBios announced last week that Shkreli — who was indicted earlier in December on seven counts of securities fraud and related charges unrelated to the two companies — had been “terminated” from his CEO post and had resigned from the company’s board the same day. The release did not state why he was fired, and company officials did not respond to a request for comment.

Shkreli lasted less than a month as CEO, having been appointed Nov. 19, a day after he acquired majority control of the company through an investment group. Five days prior, the company had announced plans to close shop over funding issues.
