Bactiguard Garners Chinese Approval for Foley Catheter

Bactiguard has scooped up approval from the China Food and Drug Administration for its Bactiguard infection protection foley.

According to the Stockholm, Sweden-based company, the Chinese market for foley catheters —estimated to be more than 50 million units per year — is continually growing.

Bactiguard reached an agreement with Chinese distributor Jian An Pharmaceutical in 2011, the year the company filed the product for regulatory approval. — Michael Cipriano
