Conmed Completes SurgiQuest Buy

Conmed has completed its acquisition of minimally invasive surgery technologies provider SurgiQuest. The transaction is valued at $265 million, according to a November release.

SurgiQuest is the manufacturer of the AirSeal system, an access management technology for use in laparoscopic and robotic procedures.

AirSeal has been used in more than 250,000 procedures worldwide, and it has been shown to reduce procedure times and post-operative pain, Conmed says. — Michael Cipriano
