Medical Surgery Technologies Nabs FDA Clearance for Follow Me Software

The FDA has smiled on Israel-based Medical Surgery Technologies with for its Follow Me software designed for minimally invasive robotic surgery.

The software is an advanced function of the company’s image-guided laparoscope positioning system, AutoLap.

Follow Me enables AutoLap to follow laparoscopic surgical tools without manual control, allowing the surgeon to virtually tag the tools within the surgical cavity, MST says. — Michael Cipriano
