The FDA has blessed remote diagnostic monitoring services provider LifeWatch AG with 510(k) clearance for its LifeWatch mobile cardiac telemetry patch, a 1-lead ECG system.

The patch monitors every heartbeat for adverse cardiac events and transmits significant findings to a clinical service center.

According to LifeWatch, the device is very comfortable for the patient and could result in increased compliance.
