Lack of Sterility Assurance Sparks Abbott's Compounding Pharmacy Recall

Abbott's Compounding Pharmacy is voluntarily recalling all of its unexpired lots of sterile compounded products.

The recalled products — which include injectable medications, sterile solutions, eye drops and eye ointments — were distributed in California between Jan. 1, 2015, and Jan. 14, 2016. The company is recalling the products over a lack of sterility assurance.
