FDA Clears Hansen Medical’s Magellan Robotic Catheter eKit

The FDA has blessed Hansen Medical’s Magellan robotic catheter eKit.

The MRC eKit helps extend robotic capabilities and control throughout procedures in the peripheral vasculature.

With the MRC eKit, physicians will have robotic control of third party microcatheters through the existing Magellan robotic catheter 6Fr architecture, the company says. This added ability has the potential to reduce procedure times and radiation exposure. — Jonathon Shacat
