BD FACSymphony High-Speed Cell Analyzer Unveiled

BD has launched its BD FACSymphony system, a high-speed cell analyzer that enables the measurement of up to 50 different characteristics of a single cell.

The product’s concept was the result of collaboration with the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health, the company said.

Following two years of development, NIH has begun using the system to enable ongoing research at NIAID’s Vaccine Research Center to accelerate discovery and continue developing its understanding of the immune system. — Jonathon Shacat
