Terumo Introduces the CAPIOX FX Advance Oxygenator

Terumo Cardiovascular Group launched its newest addition to the CAPIOX Oxygenator Portfolio, the CAPIOX FX Advance oxygenator — which will replace current CAPIOX FX15 and FX25 line of oxygenators.

The device features enhanced flow dynamics with an increased blood flow rate on the 3,000 mL reservoir, as well as a lower minimum operating level on the 4,000 mL reservoir.

The CAPIOX FX Advance’s enhancements will aim to allow clinicians to further diminish prime volume and lower hemodilution, permitting them to choose a smaller, lower prime oxygenator for more patients, according to the company. — Anisa Jibrell
