GE, Arterys Collaboration Bears Fruit

An ongoing partnership between San Francisco-based startup Arterys and GE Healthcare has resulted in the introduction of ViosWorks at a radiological society meeting in Chicago.

ViosWorks is intended to provide a 3-D spatial and velocity-encoded dataset at every time point during the cardiac cycle and offers a noninvasive visualization and quantification of cardiac blood flow for use to identify anomalies and disease.

Arterys uses deep learning and artificial intelligence to enable analysis of the data in “a fraction of the time of conventional cardiac MR scans,” according to GE. — Anisa Jibrell
