FDA Invites Feedback on Pilot Projects

The FDA has scheduled a workshop for April 5 and 6 to get feedback from drugmakers on potential pilot projects to evaluate track and trace systems. The pilot projects will explore and evaluate methods to enhance the safety and security of the pharmaceutical distribution supply chain. The workshop aims to help meet requirements of the Drug Supply Chain Security Act of 2013, which outlines steps to build an interoperable system by Nov. 27, 2023. This system will work to identify and trace prescription drugs being distributed in the U.S.
