OrthoGrid Introduces New HipGrid Drone at AAHKS

OrthoGrid Systems announced the launch of its new HipGrid Drone at the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons annual meeting in Dallas, Texas.

The Drone delivery system integrates HipGrid for direct anterior and posterior approach total hip arthroplasty. According to the company, HipGrid helps improve anatomic outcomes for THA patients, allowing for the visualization and assessment of implant positioning and anatomic alignment.

“The key point is that the Grid is distorted the same as the anatomy is distorted, and that the Grid tells me my limb lengths are the same despite the fluoroscopic distortion,” said Jeremy Gilliland, orthopedic surgeon at the University of Utah. — Anisa Jibrell
