RTI Surgical Announces First Implantation of Unison–C System

Alachua, Fla.-based RTI Surgical has announced the limited launch of its anterior cervical fixation system, Unison–C.

The device is designed for standalone anterior cervical interbody fusion for the treatment of degenerative disc disease at a single level of the spine from C3 to T1 in skeletally mature patients.

The implant features an intervertebral body device along with an integrated lock and two screws.

The first human implantation of the Unison–C system was performed during an anterior cervical discectomy and fusion procedure. — Anisa Jibrell
