Intuitive Surgical’s EndoWrist Stapler 30 Garners FDA Clearance

Sunnyvale, Calif.-based Intuitive Surgical has secured FDA clearance for its da Vinci Xi EndoWrist Stapler 30 instruments and reloads, intended for use with the da Vinci Xi Surgical system for resection, transection and/or creation of anastomoses.

The device broadens the company’s existing da Vinci stapling menu by providing the new curved and straight tip instruments and four reloads, ranging from 0.75 mm to 2.0mm.

The stapler is indicated for adult and pediatric use and can double as tissue buttressing material. — Anisa Jibrell
