Biolog Gains Additional Patent for Phenotype MicroArray Technology

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has granted Biolog expanded patent protection for its Phenotype MicroArray technology, the devicemaker announced today.

The new patent covers methods for phenotyping animal cells, creating multiplexed metabolic profiles and observing chemical effects on metabolic substrate use.

The PM technology was developed for research on microbial cells through funding from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences. — Anisa Jibrell
