Venus Medtech to Launch Cardiac Valve Institute

Venus Medtech and the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine have teamed up to launch the Cardiac Valve Research Institute in the Binjiang district of Hangzhou, which will focus on minimally invasive treatment for heart diseases.

Venus, a transcatheter cardiac valve developer, has attracted support from Qiming Venture Partners, Sequoia Capital China, Dinova Venture Capital and most recently, Goldman Sachs.

Goldman Sachs plans to invest $37 million to support Venus’ R&D and promotional activities. — Anisa Jibrell
