Tenex Health Earns FDA Clearance for TX2 MicroTip

March 29, 2016

The FDA has cleared Tenex Health’s TX2 MicroTip, for the treatment of tendinosis of the shoulder and hip. These two areas were difficult to access for its predecessor, the TX1 MicroTip.

The minimally invasive device, which can extend to 2 inches, uses ultrasound treatment to cut and remove affected soft tissue.

“We anticipate providing a favorable safety and efficacy profile to a broader group of patients using this ultrasound guided treatment,” said Tenex Chief Medical Officer Bernard Morrey. — Anisa Jibrell
