NeuroMetrix, Premera Blue Cross to Test Wearable Pain Relief Technology

Waltham, Mass.-based NeuroMetrix is teaming up with Premera Blue Cross to test the Quell wearable pain relief device on selected Premera employees with chronic pain.

A pilot will evaluate employee response to the technology, including how it affects their pain and quality of life. Device utilization and sleep metrics will be gathered by the Quell’s mobile app.

Premera is a healthcare provider based in the Pacific Northwest that caters to roughly 1.9 million people.
