Retina Implant Gains CE Mark for Wireless Implant
March 30, 2016
Germany’s Retina Implant has earned the CE mark for its Alpha AMS device, intended to restore some vision in patients with retinitis pigmentosa.
The device consists of 1,600 pixels, giving it the most electrodes of any neuroprosthetic implant on the market, the company says.
The implant lasts for several years. — Anisa Jibrell
