Ekso GT Robotic Exoskeleton Earns FDA Clearance

April 4, 2016

Ekso Bionics has won FDA clearance for its Ekso GT robotic exoskeleton for use in stroke patients, the company announced Monday.

The wearable robotic exoskeleton is cleared for use in patients with stroke-initiated hemiplegia, spinal cord injuries at levels T4 to L5 or spinal cord injuries at T3 to C7.

The technology features Variable Assist software, which provides adaptive power to each side of the body and mobilizes patients early in recovery.
