FDA Greenlights Avedro’s Treatment for Keratoconus

Avedro has received FDA approval for Photrexa Viscous, Photrexa and the KXL System in the U.S. market. 

Photrexa Viscous and Photrexa are photo-enhancers designated for use with the KXL system in corneal collagen cross-linking for the treatment of progressive keratoconus.

Brian Roberts, Avedro’s chief operating and financial officer, stated that the company plans on taking orders for the KXL system immediately and ship Photrexa products in the next few months. — Joya Patel
