Colibri Heart Valve Scores Win at EPO

The European Patent Office has granted a patent to Colibri Heart Valve, a privately held, Broomfield, Colo.-based company.

The patent covers a method of making a pre-packaged, sterilized dry heart valve mounted on a delivery catheter. It is expected to publish as European Patent No. 2542184 May 25.

Colibri has 15 patents allowed or granted thus far. — Elizabeth Hollis
