Meridian Bioscience Launches Mycoplasma Test, Snags CE Mark

Meridian Bioscience has secured CE marking for its Mycoplasma pneumonia molecular diagnostic test illumigene Mycoplasma Direct.

The new test offers a simple approach versus the current illumigene Mycoplasma product, according to the company, removing the need for special training and delivering results in less than an hour.

The latest launch expands the company’s illumigene suite of molecular tests which includes group A Streptococcus, Pertussis, C. difficile, chlamydia, gonorrhea, HSV 1&2, group B Streptococcus and malaria. — Anisa Jibrell
