China Bans Wholesalers from Marketing Vaccines

China is banning wholesalers from selling vaccines after millions of dollars’ worth of illegal products were sold to patients in that country.

The ban — which focuses on non-compulsory vaccines — is an amendment to the country’s vaccine distribution and circulation management regulation.

Under the ban, non-compulsory vaccines must be distributed in the same fashion as their compulsory counterparts, which fall under the government’s national immunization program.
