EnteroMedics Sells vBloc Therapy to U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs

EnteroMedics has entered into an exclusive federal sales agreement with Academy Medical to sell the rights to its vBloc neurometabolic therapy to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the St. Paul, Minn.-based devicemaker announced Monday.

The therapy is intended to facilitate weight loss in obese adults with a BMI of 40 to 45 kg or 35 to 39.9 kg who have diabetes, high blood pressure or high cholesterol.
