Vigilant Biosciences Nabs CE Mark for Oral Cancer Test

Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Vigilant Biosciences has garnered CE Mark approval for its OncAlert Oral Cancer RAPID test.

The test measures CD44 and total protein levels and consists of an oral rinse and test cassette which comes with a lateral flow test strip that is placed into the rinse. It takes 20 minutes to produce results, according to the company.

The company is expected to launch the product during the second half of the year. The product is not available in U.S. markets. — Anisa Jibrell
