Flamel Technologies’ Akovaz Scoops Up FDA Approval

Flamel Technologies has secured FDA approval for its surgical hypotension drug Akovaz.

The company said it will launch the injectable drug at a 50 mg/mL dosage at some point in the third quarter. Flamel is the first company to receive FDA approval for this formulation of the drug.
