Signostics Nabs FDA Clearance for Uscan

The FDA has cleared devicemaker Signostics’ urology product Uscan, the company announced Friday.

The mobile-connected, urologic scanner identifies contours of the bladder for precise volume measurements. Further, the device can obtain up to 256 bladder image-slices, 32 times more than traditional scanners.

It also can provide imaging of the kidneys, pelvic floor, prostrate, gallbladder, bladder stones and catheter emplacement. The company expects a U.S. launch by next month. — Anisa Jibrell
