FDA Issues Warning Letter to Arkansas Compounder Over Sterility

The FDA is warning an Arkansas facility for compounding drugs in unsanitary conditions, rendering those products adulterated.

During a June inspection of Lincare’s facility in Little Rock, Ark., FDA officials found five pests, including live vermin, according to the warning letter.

The inspection was prompted by the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy, which received a tip that four patients wound up in the hospital after taking products made at the facility.
