Surgical Specialties’ BioSentry System Gains Expanded Label

Surgical Specialties has scored an expanded label for its BioSentry track sealant system in Europe, the Braintree, Mass.-based company announced Monday.

The system, which is indicated for use in percutaneous transthoracic lung biopsy procedures, can now be used in conjunction with a 17-gauge biopsy system.

BioSentry is the only device with CE mark approval in Europe with this indication, according to the company. — Anisa Jibrell
