Royal Philips Launches Minicare I-20 System

Royal Philips has introduced its Minicare I-20 system, a blood test designed for the diagnosis of a heart attack at the point of care.

The handheld unit measures the level of cardiac troponin I — which is released into the blood after a heart attack — and produces results in less than ten minutes, therefore reducing time-to-treatment.

The test is being launched in the UK, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. — Anisa Jibrell
