Medtronic Recalls Midas Rex Sagittal Saws

June 3, 2016

Medtronic has begun a voluntary field action to pull its Midas Rex Sagittal Saws over the potential risk of fluid leakage into the motor through the Rocker Housing Seal.

Thus far, there have been no reports of fluid leakage in the field.

The device is intended for use with the company’s Integrated Power Console System, which is indicated for cutting, removing and sawing tissue and bone, and biomaterials in neurosurgical orthopedic, arthroscopic, spinal, sternotomy and general surgical procedures. — Anisa Jibrell
