Micro Interventional Devices Snags CE Mark

Micro Interventional Devices has earned CE mark approval for its transapical access and closure device Permaseal, the Newton, Pa.-based company announced Tuesday.

The device, designed for use with the company’s PolyCor anchor technology, provides instant access to the left-ventricle without having to suture the myocardium.

Permaseal is the only transapical access and closure device available for commercial use in the EU, the company said. — Anisa Jibrell
