WaferGen Bio-systems, Takara Bio Enter Distribution Agreement

Fremont, Calif.-basedWaferGen Bio-systems has entered into a distribution agreement with Takara Bio in Japan to distribute its ICELL8 single-cell system, real-time PCR, SmartChip Target Enrichment and Apollo 324 products.

Under the agreement, Takara will provide promotional and technical support.

In addition, the companies are expected to close a merger in March 2017. — Anisa Jibrell
