BlueWind Medical Earns CE Mark for Overactive Bladder Neurostimulator

June 15, 2016

Israeli devicemaker BlueWind Medical has received CE marking for its OAB-1000 system, a wireless neurostimulator for treating an overactive bladder.

The battery-less device is attached to the lower leg to stimulate the tibial nerve and does not require noninvasive replacement. Further, patients can wear the device for only 30 minutes.

Compared to traditional neurostimulators on the market, the device is 90 percent smaller, according to the company. — Anisa Jibrell
