Alafair Biosciences’ VersaWrap Tendon Protector Wins FDA Clearance

Alafair Biosciences has scored FDA clearance for its VersaWrap tendon protector, which is a bioresorbable hydrogel that shields tendon gliding by separating damaged tendons from surrounding tissues.

The product is “ultrathin” and “sutureless,” and is the first offering in the company’s VersaWrap line-up designed to manage and protect tendon injuries where there has been no considerable loss of tendon tissue, according to the company.
