FDA Grants Expanded Clearance to Getinge’s Sterizone VP4 Sterilizer

Getinge has won expanded FDA clearance for its Sterizone VP4 sterilizer, which is designed for the sterilization of heat and moisture-sensitive medical devices.

The device is now indicated to sterilize colonoscopes, gastroscopes and other multi-channel endoscopes of up to four channels and 3.5 meters in length, according to the company.

The low-temperature system uses dual-sterilants of vaporized hydrogen peroxide and ozone. — Anisa Jibrell
