WHO Grants Pfizer Prequalification, Expands Prevenar 13 Access

The World Health Organization has granted Pfizer prequalification for its four-dose vial of Prevenar 13.

The move permits United Nations agencies and countries that mandate WHO prequalification to use the multi-dose vial Prevenar 13, thereby expanding access to the drug.

The prequalified version of Prevenar 13 is scheduled for release in early 2017.
