Forest Makes Deal With Teva, Mayne in Patent Battle

Forest Laboratories has decided to bury the hatchet with Teva Pharmaceuticals USA and Mayne Pharma, settling a two-and-a-half year-long patent dispute for undisclosed terms.

The companies announced a settlement to their feud concerning whether Forest violated a patent held Mayne Pharma and licensed to Teva when it produced the Alzheimer’s drug Namenda XR.

The 2013 suit filed in U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware contends that the drug infringes on a patent on analgesic formulations.
