Teva Nabs Allergan’s Generics Distributor for $500M

Less than 24 hours after finalizing its acquisition of Allergan’s generics division, Teva Pharmaceutical disclosed plans to pick up the company’s distribution arm for $500 million.

The transaction is for Amgen’s Anda division, which has played a supporting role in launching both brand-name products and generics.

The deal, which Allergan described as a “strategic” purchase, is expected to close before the end of the year.
