Malaysia Updates Labeling, Exemptions, Advertising Rules

Regulators in Malaysia have issued guidance addressing new and updated rules on the planned transition to new labeling requirements, along with clinical research exemptions and advertising rules for devices.

While the country’s Medical Device Authority decided in March to make the changes, it has since issued guidance instituting a two-year transitional period for medical device manufactures to comply and adjust to new labeling requirements. — Cynthia Jessup
